The Position Located near a major airport on the East Coast, the Director of the East for Food Service and Emerging Channels Sales will play a critical role in expanding Numi in the foodservice, C store, and drug environment. Geographic expansion, account growth, distributor expansion, and same customer product performance will all be critical measurements of success. Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to effective sales presentations, support of partnership activities, managing distributor and broker partners, support of merchandising in outlet, and superior communication of all activities both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is self-driven, has experience with premium products, and has strong existing industry relationships including with accounts like: Vistar, Sysco, Sodexo, Compass, Aramark, Avendra, Hilton, Marriott, CU, and B&I, C Store, and drug stores as well as understands warehouse, DSD, and distributor programs, understands broker programs and management, is analytical, detail-oriented and self-driven. This role supports the SVP of Sales and is key in setting strategic priorities to hit both short and long-term growth goals The right person lives on the East Coast, near a major airport. Required Skills & Attributes Minimum of 7-10 years experience including broker and distributor networks as well as chain accounts. Preexisting relationships with principle, distributors and brokers in North America Creating and managing Sales/Expense Budget related to foodservice sales activities. Reporting systems for broker audits and management. Sales goal management with each sales person and accountability to meet goals. Setting up sales initiative, incentives, and programs in Foodservice classes of trade. Forecasting and Projections of Products and Sales. Strong sense of job ownership coupled with a solid team orientation, building the team and morale to achieve 100%. Ability to think strategically as it pertains to sales, and to communicate that effectively to the rest of the organization with enthusiasm. Well organized and detail oriented, allowing for all systems to flow; including companys contact database, weekly reports and other tools that will strengthen the entire team. Ability to accomplish objectives with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative, and also willing to work under management and follow direction.Good trouble shooter with strong multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, database management program and PowerPoint skills. Works well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. Must be able to travel up to 80% (average expected to be approx. 65%).
